Man Killed In South Side Hit-And-Run
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was killed when a pickup truck struck the vehicle he was driving late Saturday in the Gresham neighborhood.
The 45-year-old man was in a 2000 Cadillac traveling east on West 80th Street that was struck by a red pickup truck traveling on South Peoria Street about 11:55 p.m., according to police.
The Cadillac then struck an unoccupied parked vehicle, police said. The pickup truck fled the scene.
The man identified as -- Lincoln Dembry, 45, of 12809 S. Lowe Ave. -- was pronounced dead at Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center at 12:36 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Dembry was the driver of the Cadillac, according to the medical examiner.
The police Major Accidents Investigation Unit is investigating.
