Two Hurt In Early Morning Crash In The Loop

CHICAGO (CBS) – At least two people were injured, one of them seriously, early Sunday when two cars collided at a Loop intersection.
A car heading east on Washington Street at a high rate of speed ran a red light at Dearborn Street at about 5 a.m. and was hit on the passenger’s side by a Lincoln Town Car traveling north on Dearborn Street.
Both cars then hit a metal pylon in the sidewalk outside the CBS 2 news studio at 22 W. Washington St.
The driver of the Town Car had to be rescued using a Jaws of Life device.
According to the Chicago Fire Department, two people were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, one in good condition, the other in serious to critical condition.
