CHICAGO (CBS) — The discount shoe chain DSW has signed an agreement to lease space in the old Carson Pirie Scott building on State Street.
DSW has leased 26,000 square feet in the historic Louis Sullivan-designed building at 1 South State Street. It is scheduled to open next spring.
A new Target store will open in the same building, now called the Sullivan Center, in the fall of 2012.
The building has been empty since 2007 when Carson’s closed its landmark location.
