Asik To Miss Rest Of Playoffs

CHICAGO (CBS) Chicago Bulls center Omer Asik will miss the rest of the team’s 2011 playoff run, the team announced on Wednesday.

Asik sustained a fractured left fibula in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals at Miami on May 22. Both an MRI and CT scanned confirmed the injury before Game 4.

He played less than two minutes on Tuesday night before being taken to the locker room while clearly favoring his leg.

The injury will not require surgery and has an expected recovery time of six weeks.
