Despite Sweep Of Boston, White Sox 'Still Behind The Eight-Ball'

CHICAGO (WSCR) The Chicago White Sox headed into Boston riding a three-game losing streak, but will return to Chicago coming off of a three-game sweep of the Red Sox.

"I mean, we needed some wins," first baseman Paul Konerko said. "We've been scuffling and it's nice to get three wins before the off day, but we're still behind the eight-ball, we have a lot of room to make up."

On Thursday, the White Sox will have their first off day since May 12. When they resume playing on Friday, they'll try to climb up the standings with start a 10-game homestand.

"Its a good start," Konerko said of sweeping the Red Sox. "And we just have to make sure we don't lose this momentum on the off day."
