More Twitter Trouble From Oney Guillen

CHICAGO (WSCR) The Chicago White Sox didn't anticipate much drama coming from their choice with the 47th overall draft pick. But shortly after selecting Keenyn Walker from Central Arizona College, that's exactly what they got.

Oney Guillen, son of White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen took to his Twitter page saying: "Shocker white sox pick another good athlete black kid. How about picking a good baseball player"

Walker, a switch hitting outfielder, was described by White Sox Director of Amateur Scouting Doug Laumann as "a highly athletic kid with plus-plus speed. He is a scout's dream. Keenyn did everything I needed to see from a scouting and performance standpoint – speed, hitting and defense. He's a top-of-the-order, leadoff-type guy with pop, and he's a plus defensive center fielder."

As expected, Oney received plenty of backlash immediately following his message, but he insisted that the comments were not racially driven.

"People relax my comment has nothing to do with color just statting the obvious u guys overeact to everything lord," he said via Twitter.

This isn't the first time that Oney has created a stir with his comments on Twitter. In December, after former White Sox closer Bobby Jenks criticized the way the organization let him go, Oney called Jenks a "yellow beard-dipping idiot," among other insults in more than a dozen tweets.
