FOREST PARK, Ill. (STMW) — The body of a man was found male was pulled from the Des Plaines River Tuesday in west suburban Forest Park.

The body was pulled from the Des Plaines River near 863 Des Plaines Ave. in Forest Park, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. An approximate age was not immediately available for the man, who was dead on the scene.

The river is west of Des Plaines Avenue, between the Forest Home Cemetery and the Waldheim Cemetery.

Forest Park police are investigating, but were not immediately available for comment Tuesday night.
