Woman Ejected From Minivan Dies In Crash On Jane Addams Tollway

DES PLAINES, Ill. (STMW) -- A 20-year-old woman died early Monday after she was ejected from a minivan on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway near O'Hare International Airport.

The woman was ejected when a Pontiac minivan slammed into the rear of a Ford minivan as westbound traffic came to a stop near the Devon Avenue Toll Plaza at 12:56 a.m., according to an Illinois State Police Tollway District master sergeant.

Anacain Agular-Lopez, 20, of an unidentified home address, was dead on the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

The 20-year-old woman was riding in the Ford minivan with eight other people when the crash occurred, the master sergeant said. It was unclear if she was wearing a seat belt.

Seven other people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries from the crash, according to the master sergeant.

It does not appear that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, the master sergeant said.

Illinios State Police are investigating, but no charges or citations were issued as of Monday morning, according to the master sergeant.
