Admission Fees To Go Up At Adler Planetarium
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Admission fees at the Adler Planetarium are set to go up, now that powerful Ald. Edward Burke (14th) has dropped his opposition to an increase.

As WBBM Newsradio 780's Dave Marsett reports, the Chicago Tribune says Burke has given his approval to a plan by the Chicago Park District to increase fees.
Under the plan, children will be exempt from the fee hikes. But everybody else will have to pay $2 more, as part of a package the Park District board must still approve.
The Tribune says the new admission fee structure would jack up the price of a ticket to the Planetarium to $10 for adults who live in Chicago, and $8 for seniors. Those who live outside the city would also see an increase of $2, which would bring the total to $12 for adults, $8 for children, and $10 for seniors.
The fee for children living in the city would remain stable at $7, the newspaper reported.
