Gas Prices On The Rise Again

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Our little holiday from higher gas prices is over for now in Chicago.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Chicago Thursday morning was $3.97.

Last week, it was $3.89.

ChicagoGasPrices.com indicates that the cheapest price detected in the area was $3.73. That relative bargain was found at the Delta Sonic at 8490 W. North Ave.; the Costco at 8400 W. North Ave., and the Food4Less at 2525 W. North Ave., all in Melrose Park, and the Sam's Club at 141 W. North Ave. in Northlake.

The most expensive price was $4.69, at the BP station at 755 W. Lawrence Ave. near the entrance to Lake Shore Drive.
