Girl, 5, Seriously Injured After Hit By Car In Chatham

CHICAGO (STMW) — A 5-year-old was seriously injured after being hit by a car Friday night in the South Side Chatham neighborhood.

Emergency crews responded at 8:02 p.m. to the incident at 8115 S. Evans Ave., Fire Media Affairs Chief Joe Roccasalva said.

The 5-year-old girl was taken to University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital in serious to critical condition, Roccasalva said.

Police confirmed the girl was hit by a car but could not provide further details Friday night.
