Schuster: Chances Of Additional Sox Trade 'Slim'

By David Schuster -

CHICAGO (CBS) - Never say never, but it looks like White Sox General Manager, Kenny Williams is done dealing. Prior to Saturday's game vs. Boston, Williams said the following, "I would say the chances of anything additional is very very slim. I don't see anything on the horizon and everything potentially that can be done comes at a sacrifice of the guys that I would expect we need to try and win the division so it's very unlikely."

Earlier in the week Williams said he was undecided which direction he would swing to whether being a buyer or a seller. He said the upcoming games would make up his mind and apparently the fact that the Sox have gone 8-4 since the All Star break and have competed well vs. Detroit and Boston has finalized his decision.

Williams said he's not happy or satisfied but added, "I'm grateful that they (the team) have come out and been aggressive so that we don't have to go into that sell mode. We didn't put this team together with any other intent that of winning a divisional championship and hopefully another world championship. So, I was dreading of being put in the position that we may have had to do something that I didn't want to do."

And now it looks like he won't have to....for now.
