Teen Boy Seriously Wounded In Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) - A teenage boy was hospitalized in serious condition after being shot in the side in the Princeton Park neighborhood late Friday on the South Side.

The 16-year-old boy was shot in the side at 10:04 p.m. Friday in the 9200 block of South Wallace Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines, citing preliminary information.

The ease side of Wallace Park, at South Wallace Avenue and West 92nd Street, runs along the block where the shooting happened.

The teenage boy was initially taken in serious condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn police.

Calumet Area detectives are investigating, but nobody is in custody early Saturday.
