Five Hurt In SW Suburban Crash

BEDFORD PARK, Ill. (STMW) – Five people including a child were hurt when an SUV and a minivan collided Saturday morning in southwest suburban Bedford Park.

It happened at 10:43 a.m. at the intersection of State Road and Cicero Avenue, according to Bedford Park Fire Asst. Chief Wayne Hanson.

One child and four other victims from the SUV and minivan were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital in LaGrange, Hanson said.

At least one of the vehicles involved had to be towed, according to Hanson, who was early Saturday afternoon the wreckage was cleared.
