GROBBER'S MONDAY RANTS---Sept 19,2011
====================================

NEW ORLEANS---***OK, it was pretty bad down here! The Bears two lines were sub par.The offensive line yielded six more Jay Cutler sacks. The defensive line did not put enough pressure on Drew Brees. And the turnover battle ended in a 1-1 draw which was like a defeat for the Bears on the road against the team like the Saints.

***Earl Bennett, Gabe Carimi and Chris Williams all left the game injured. Consider too that Chris Harris, Marian Barber, Roy Williams Corey Wooton, and Lance Louis were all inactive.

***The Saints Fans showed what kind of idiots some of them are by cheering when Bennett was laying on the ground hurt in the first half.

***Nice, but rather lucky win for Illinois over Arizona State Saturday night at Memorial Stadium... Bad loss for Northwestern at Army Saturday afternoon with Dan Persa still having not played a down. The Cats have a bye this week, then visit Illini Oct 1 in the Big Ten opener. They need Persa, PERIOD!

***The Northern Illinois-Wisconsin contest at Soldier Field Saturday turned into a 49-7 blowout.

The Huskies only score resulted in a 7-7 tie,but the the #7 Badgers came right back and were not headed the rest of the afternoon. They announced just over 40,000 for the 'attendance', but that had to be tickets distributed.It looked like about 15,000 'people' were disguised as empty seats,
