CHICAGO (CBS) – Andy Shaw, President and CEO of the Better Government Association, is taking issue with the police chief in Maywood, who called the use of officers to chauffeur trustees as a “courtesy.”

Shaw tells WBBM Newsradio, Maywood has had nine murders this year and needs to keep the focus of policing on the security of the town. A BGA investigation found one trustee used a police officer for a ride to the airport. The mayor also had a police security detail at a veteran’s event, according to the BGA report.
