Bicyclist Hit By Minivan, Injured In Buffalo Grove

BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. (CBS) — A cyclist was injured Wednesday morning when a minivan struck a bicycle in Buffalo Grove.

As CBS 2’s Kris Habermehl reports, the bicyclist was struck sometime in the 6 a.m. hour on Weiland Road at Newtown Drive, about halfway between Deerfield Parkway and Pauline Avenue.

The bicyclist was injured, but the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, Habermehl reported.

Following the accident, Weiland Road was closed near the scene.

The road is a popular north-south route during the morning rush, with a fairly light traffic volume, but this morning rush hour, traffic was rerouted to Buffalo Grove Road.

Was anyone driving the minivan or was it possessed by some evil spirit like Christine? (apologies to G.R.I.D.)
