CHICAGO (WBBM) – Bail has been set at $7 million for a Steger man who wanted his daughter dead.
Investigators say Robert Deja, 45, sexually abused his adopted daughter for four years, and fathered her 3-year-old daughter. When Deja found out the 20-year-old woman had a boyfriend, police say he became so angry, that he tried to hire his own brother to kill her.

Deja is charged with solicitation to commit murder and criminal sexual assault. His daughter is pregnant again — the baby may be his — or it may be her boyfriend’s.
