Blaze Leaves Two Men Critically Hurt On West Side
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two men were critically injured during a West Side fire Sunday morning, police said.
The blaze started just after 5 a.m. at a building in the 4300 block of West Monroe Street, according to police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez.
Two – one in his late 40s and the other about 60 – to unidentified hospitals in critical condition because they had inhaled smoke, said Perez.
The victims were reportedly squatters in the vacant building.
