11 Injured In Elgin Crash

ELGIN, Ill. (STMW) -- Eleven people were injured Saturday evening during a six-car accident in northwest suburban Elgin.

Emergency crews received a call at 6:40 p.m. about a six-car accident at Randall Road and South Street, according to a statement from Elgin spokeswoman Susan Olafson.

Eleven people were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Randall Road between South Street and College Green was closed for about an hour, the statement said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
