(WSCR) While the contract talks between Matt Forte and the Bears remain at a stand still, Forte has continued his career-year on the ground.
He accounts for nearly half the Bears’ total offense this season, but that’s something Bears insider Zach Zaidman believes needs to change.
“When you consider that only four other players since 1970 have accounted for a higher percentage of the offense than Forte has this year, I think you’d like to get some other guys involved, so he’s not taking the pounding,” Zaidman told The Mully and Hanley Show. “But (Forte’s) assuming the risk by not signing a long-term deal and playing the way he’s playing right now.”
