Police Sent To High School In Palos Hills 3 Times in 1 Day

PALOS HILLS, Ill. (CBS) -- Police were sent to a high school in Palos Hills three different times in one day last week, and three students are in big trouble now.

On Thursday, Nov. 10, police were first called to Stagg High School, at 8015 W. 111th St. in Palos Hills, around 11:15 a.m. when a staff member found a student with a drug pipe.

The student said he had brought the pipe to school because he was afraid to leave it at home where his mother might find it. But with the police now having found the pipe, the student was arrested.

About five hours later, school officials caught two students smoking marijuana in a restroom at the school. Those students were arrested too.

All three students were referred to a juvenile State's Attorney at the Bridgeview courthouse.

But police were not done with their busy day at Stagg High School yet. Night school classes are also held there, and police were called to the school again at 10 p.m. due to the behavior of a night school student.

The student had been yelling and swearing at a teacher for waking him up during class, police said. But he ran from the school before police arrived.
