Real Estate Showing Leads To Discovery Of 2 Bodies

SAUK VILLAGE, Ill. (CBS) — A property owner and a prospective buyer were shocked by a discovery they made Tuesday night during a showing in the south suburbs.

As WBBM Newsradio’s Bernie Tafoya reports, the showing was at a vacant house at 22642 Brookwood Dr. in Sauk Village around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday. The homeowner was showing the house to a potential buyer, when they discovered the bodies of two young men.

A source says the victims, ages 18 and 19, had been shot multiple times. The Chicago Tribune reports the bodies appeared to have been there for at least a day.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office says tentative identifications of the victims have been made, but their families have not been notified.

Sauk Village police expect to put out a news release later Wednesday on the apparent murders.

So much for that properties value, as soon as I sell my home Illinois is history. I can’t figure why so many generations of my family have stayed in this state.

So Jim, the right to carry would have helped here, how?

Are you saying the 2 kids killed probably due to gang or drug involvement would be alive if they had legal concealed weapons on them?

Or the real estate agent and buyer would have been safer by whipping out their guns as they entered the house?

Truth is a few people would be safer with concealed weapons but in reality there will be a lot of idiots and near mental cases carrying around guns and everytime someone cuts them off in traffice or bumps into them on the EL platform their going to open their coat and show their weapon which will probably result in a lot more shootings of innocent bystanders.

Thugs do not value life and truth be known are far less educated than most so I doubt the possibilty of someone having a concealed weapon is going to deter them.

49 other states have carry laws and this don’t happen near as much as murder in Chicago does. To obtain a carry permit a pearson is required to pass a class, and have no mental issues and you are assuming way to much a pearsons with a concealed carry permit are going to more responsible than that you act like it’s a permit to pull a gun out anytime a pearson wants to and it’s not and people who obtain a permit to carry know this through training. If they violate the law take away their permit. you still have armed criminals that are the ones recklessly shooting up the town and it has been proven in 49 other states that given a right to carry violent crime rates plummet.

      Hey Dan,
Imagine if they were a day early and unknowingly walked in while the perps were there. I know this wasn’t the case but it’s not an unlikely situation eather.

What if the perps would have still been in that home?

Just sayin it could have been bad for the home owner and the buyer.

Oh my goodness, that is so sad! Certainly for the two killed boys, but also for the homeowner and prospective buyer. What a traumatic find. If that had happened to me, I would probably have to take a break from looking at real estate for awhile. I hope they find out what happened to those boys, and that they find the people responsible.
