CHICAGO (STMW) — Five people were hospitalized Monday evening after an auto accident in the West Side Lawndale neighborhood.
The accident happened about 4:50 p.m. at the intersection of South Independence Boulevard and West Fillmore Street, according to Fire Media Affairs.
Five people were taken to area hospitals. One person in serious-to-critical condition and two in fair-to-serious condition were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, and one person in fair-to-serious condition and another in good condition were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, according to Fire Media Affairs.
The scene was secured at 5:12 p.m.
