CHICAGO (CBS) — A man was shot and killed Thursday night after a gunman came up behind him in the North Lawndale neighborhood.

Maurice Vortes, 28, was dead on the scene after being shot in the 1500 block of South Kedzie Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
