Man Robs McHenry Bank At Gunpoint
MCHENRY, Ill. (STMW) - An armed man with a bandana covering his face robbed a bank Friday evening in northwest suburban McHenry.
The man walked into an Illinois State Bank branch about 5:25 p.m., immediately displayed a silver handgun and then ordered employees to give him money from each of the teller areas, a press release from McHenry Police said.
He then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, the release said. Witnesses did not see in which direction. There were no injuries, the release said.
The man is described as a white, 6 feet to 6-foot-3 with a slender build, the release said. He was wearing a black knit hat, black leather jacket, faded blue jeans and had a bandana covering his face.
