(CBS) Former Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates is not a candidate for the Bears’ quarterback coach/passing coordinator opening, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The report says Bates “rubbed the Bears the wrong way” when he turned down the team’s offer to be the offensive coordinator in 2010. Bates used to be Jay Cutler’s quarterback coach in Denver and called plays for the Broncos the year Cutler made the pro bowl, but their relationship is “overstated” according to the report.

Meanwhile, the Bears confirmed Friday that they had concluded their interview with former Buccaneers offensive coordinator Greg Olson.
