CHICAGO (STMW) – Two men are dead and four others were critically injured early Saturday after a rollover accident in the Southwest Side Little Village neighborhood.

Crews responded about 3:35 a.m. to a pin-in rollover accident at Archer and Western avenues, according to Fire Media Affairs. An EMS Plan 1, which sends at least five ambulances to the scene, was called.

The accident involved two vehicles, one of them a Chevrolet Suburban, Fire Media Affairs said.

A 19-year-old man and a man, believed to be 19-to-20-years-old, are dead but their names are not being released pending family notification, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

The other men were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Advocate Illinois Medical Center in critical condition.

The accident was so violent, trees were knocked over near the roadway, Fire Media Affairs said.

The EMS Plan 1 was secured as of about 4 a.m.

Get it right

Little Village? Are you nuts?

Unless the Aldermanic ward remapping took place since last night, Little Village is north of Western & Archer.

C'mon

Why were they trying to ram another vehicle? Only pity for their families.

No fibbing

It is true that this was gang related. Some of us know the word on the street and the people involved. They were ramming each other not caring about whether they would hurt an innocent person on the street or not. Two different gangs in two different cars. That is what really happened. Thank God they didn’t take an innocent life with them.

Latino Power

They are all shame to the Latino community. That is why this report wasn’t important enough to release names or details and the neighborhood was labeled “Little Village” because to the media, all Latino neighborhoods are the same because of fools like these “men”. We will never be respected because of the uneducated. They are fighting and dying for a territory that belongs to the government. They embarrass us, they embarrass themselves. Hopefully other fools will learn from this senseless and shameless act of stupidity.
