CHICAGO (STMW) – A man was shot dead Friday night next door to the Southwest Side Gage Park neighborhood home where he lived.
The 31-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 5800 block of South Fairfield Avenue about 10:35 p.m. when two males walked up and shot at him, police said. He was hit twice in the left armpit area and was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital where he died.
Ruben Colunga, 31, of the 5800 block of South Fairfield Ave., was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 11:27 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. He was shot in the 5800 block of South Fairfield Ave.
No one is in custody and Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.

Word on the street is the shooter is a middle age male from Rodgers Park. Rumor has it; the victim had been hiding his street pharmacy products in the snow in front of the house. The building owner, the Rodgers Park man, shot him after they got into an argument about shoveling the wrong show. Neighbors said they heard an argument and the man from Rodgers Park said he was not going to get fined a hundred dollar because of the snow and shot him
