(WSCR) The Bears have narrowed their GM search down to two candidates, but one NFL expert thinks one candidate is far better than the other.
“I can tell you that Jason Licht really isn’t a good candidate for this job,” Hub Arkush told The McNeil and Spiegel Show. “The rumors that are leaking out is maybe that is the direction Ted (Phillips) is leaning.
“The more you talk to people in New England, the more you wonder why Jason Licht is a candidate.”

Arkush said that, based on Phil Emery’s background, he should easily be hired over Licht.
“Of the two guys (Phillips) is talking to, I am more impressed today with one of them than I was a week ago,” Arkush said. “Some people who I really trust tell me that, while Emery does not have the experience, he has the credentials that you’d be looking for. The military background, the dedication, the commitment, the structure. He understands how to put a scouting department together.”

Please no one with Bears ties is a better canidate, it sounds like Emery is the media’s pick that’s why the Tirb., Suntimes and Chicago media are hyping Emery up. He must be a guy that the chicago media knows they can kiss up to. Hire the young NE guy with new ideas, enough Tampa Bay, St. Louis and Angelo ties.

Thanks, Chris C. for the link to the story about Licht. After reading it, I’m wondering if he might be the better candidate now. Who knows. All I know is that I don’t trust Sweaty Teddy in any way as a football man.
