(CBS) Senior forward Tim Toler was dismissed from the Northern Illinois men’s basketball team Thursday.

Toler was suspended for a violation of team rules Jan. 21.

“Tim Toler has been dismissed from the Huskie basketball program, effective today,” head coach Mark Montgomery said. “Tim will remain in school and continue to work toward graduation, which is the most important thing for him at this time.”

Toler played in 16 games this season and was averaging 10.8 points per game for the Huskies (2-16, 1-5 MAC).
