CHICAGO (CBS) — Someone fired shots at police officers Friday afternoon as they tried to serve a warrant in the West Englewood neighborhood.

Police told CBS 2 officers were serving a warrant in a house in the 7300 block of South Wood Street, when someone inside the house started firing gunshots.

The officers were not hurt, and the offender was arrested, police said.

It was not clear if the officers returned fire.

Hey Afro, you talk out of your as*.. In the late 60′s the problem in Englewood was the east side of Ashland, that was the divider line between the spooks and the whites. Any thing west of Ashland was good white neighborhoods. I know because I grew up there. The only times it got bad, was when the spooks would come across Ashland, with bottles, chains, pipes and bricks, looking for fights, or pushing white kids off their bikes and stealing them. How many times the spooks would try to come to Marquette Park, but they were chased away from the Marquette Boys & the 69th.st Loafers? Over on 73rd. & Hermitage, we had the Murray Park Boys, who would, when the spooks crossed over Ashland on 73rd. st, would haul as* after them, chasing them back on their side of Ashland. Bottles, bricks would fly at each side, but NEVER did the white people cross over Ashland. It was always the spooks, looking for trouble. Even back then, the Chicago Police would tell the white people to stay on our side of Ashland. They told the spooks that as well, but of course, they never listened. They still don’t.. They’re still just a bunch of no good nig**ers, causing death, misery and havoc on others.
