(CBS) While head coach Joel Quenneville won’t name a full-time starter in the net, he did say veteran Ray Emery will get the nod for Tuesday’s game.
With both Emery and Corey Crawford struggling, Quenneville will give Emery the next shot.
“In Ray’s situation, he hasn’t had a great chance to run with it,” Quenneville said. “Corey has had a lot of key games here recently. We’ll see how it plays out.”
Still, Quenneville was adamant about the fact that he didn’t know how the goalie controversy would end up.
“I don’t want to say for sure how it’s going to play out, I don’t like getting too far in advance of the next start. I think (Emery) has done well for us all year. So we’ll see how it goes,” Quenneville said.
