Report: Sox Outfield Prospect Out For Season

(WSCR) The first real injury of the season hit the White Sox camp this week.

Reports indicate outfield prospect Brandon Short was ruled out for the 2012 season after test results revealed a dislocated left shoulder and a torn labrum.

The 23-year-old suffered the injury Thursday while crashing into the center field wall while unsuccessfully trying to catch a deep drive.

Short was ranked as the Sox’s 18th top prospect by Baseball America’s 2012 Prospect Handbook.

unless it’s the 9th inning of game 7, ANY player who wants to trade the rest of his season for one out.. by crashing into a wall or diving into the stands.. ala AARON ROWAND.. is a moron. even ROWAND figured that out. he quit smashinghis face into immovable objects.
get a better pre-pitch position, break faster to the ball.. ANYTHING but running into objects that don’t move. your teammates might think you’rewonderful, but when you end up in the stands instead of the lineup, you don’t help your team.. OR yourself. stupid-bad. the worst kind
