Cubs’ Garza Wild In 5-0 Loss To Dodgers

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The Los Angeles Dodgers took advantage of Matt Garza’s wildness and beat the Chicago Cubs 5-0 Sunday.

Tony Gwynn Jr. had a two-run single to cap the Dodgers’ four-run second inning and Ted Lilly had a smooth outing for the Dodgers after struggling in his spring debut. Lilly gave up one hit, one walk and hit a batter with a pitch.

Garza gave up four runs and three hits, walked two and hit a batter in 1 1-3 innings. The Cubs were shut out for the first time this spring and had only one hit through the first five innings.
