Craftsmanship And Service Come First At Pyramid Custom Cabinets
LOCKPORT, Ill. (CBS) -- When the door opens into the workshop at Pyramid Custom Cabinets in Lockport, you're sure to hear a lot of sawing, sanding and hammering.
"It's humbling to be part of this team, because they do such a good job," said Pyramid president Troy Matthews.
And as WBBM Newsradio's Steve Miller reports, Matthews says custom cabinets aren't only for those with a lot of cash to burn.

"People don't know that the custom cabinet option is available to them. They look at our Web site and they think, 'Oh, that's way too expensive,' and it's not," he said.
And there's no cutting corners on quality at Pyrmaid.
"We'll pick apart grain, we'll pick apart – 'Is that quite right? Do we need to remake this door?' because we're all looking at it all the time," Matthews said.
Pyramid was founded in 1993.
"At least half the people here have been here since day one," Matthews said.
Matthews says he has a pet peeve – companies that give you the run-around instead of customer service.
"I don't ever want us to be that company. I want us to be the company where, when somebody walks through our door, that they feel like they've been taken care of," he said. "I feel pretty strongly about that."
