(CBS) The Bears re-signed cornerback Tim Jennings Tuesday before he was set to become an unrestricted free agent.
The sides agreed to a two-year deal.
“I didn’t want to go anywhere else. I think the deal was fair,” Jennings told ChicagoBears.com.
Jennings is a six-year NFL veteran who spent the last two seasons with the Bears. He has racked up 310 tackles, seven interceptions, five forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries in 85 career games with the Colts and Bears.
He has six tackles for loss, three interceptions and 153 tackles in a Bears uniform, starting 28 of 32 games.
