Rizzo, Jackson Cut By Cubs
(CBS) Top prospects Anthony Rizzo and Brett Jackson were cut by the Cubs on Friday.
Rizzo hit .364 with two homers and five RBI in 14 games, with a .962 OPS.
"You're always disappointed," the first baseman told the Chicago Tribune. "This is my third time doing this. I came in and had a pretty good spring."
Jackson hit .276 with two homers and seven RBI in 15 games.
"I played as well as expected," he said. "I knocked on the door and I'll keep trying to force their hand."
