LISTEN: Gregg Williams’ Stunning Speech – ‘Kill Frank Gore’s Head’

(WSCR) By now you know that Saints head coach Sean Payton has been suspended a full season and former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams was suspended indefinitely.

The punishments came down after the NFL found the Saints were offering bounties in exchanged for injuring opposing players.

Payton and Williams are now appealing those suspensions, but those appeals appear to be a longshot considering the audio that surfaced Thursday morning.

The following is a Gregg Williams speech recorded by filmmaker Sean Pamphilon in a defensive meeting before the Saints final playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers. After listening to it, you have to wonder how either Payton or Williams could ever coach again (WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE):

THis guy should never coach again

I don’t care what people say. This type of coaching does not happen, nor should it happen, at any level. “Kill his head” “tear ACL’s” and so on. Just disgusting. This guy will never coach again, and I can’t wait until the 49ers hear this. What does Frank Gore have to say?

  • The Red Line Project

I think Gregg Williams needs to put on a helmet and get out there. Let someone go after his ACL and head. Give Gore, Crabtree and Morgan the first shot.

  • Chips McGavin

Evidently this type of coaching does happen and it happens alot. A few things bother me about this. Its not like he’s talking to children or a college game. He’s talking to professional football players. I thought they were a fratenity?? NFLPA doesn’t matter in the playoffs I guess? The calmness it in all is also strange. If the players actually bought into his speech, then Roger Goddell has a very big ass hill to climb. These players need to band together and keep the game respectful. Play hard and leave it out on the field.

KSK Rex Ryan thinks Williams is an “amateur” …

  • CS

Unbelievable! Gregg Williams was treating the games as if they were actually in a gang war. The players were to be hit men. If they had “accidently” killed someone by following Williams’ instructions, wouldn’t that be considered manslaughter? His approach to the game could prematurely cause the end of an opposing player’s career. His Indefinite suspension should be permanent suspension. For the head coach to pretend he knew nothing about it, he should be suspended permanently, also.

  • Poobotz

This butt-head should never be allowed to coach again at any level (NFL, NCAA, High-School, Elementary, Pop-Warner). Peyton should suffer the same fate.
