A 20-year-old male passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

He has been identified as Pedro Atala-Silva by the McHenry County Corner’s office.

The 19-year-old driver of the car suffered “severe injuries” and was flown to Condell Hospital by a Flight for Life helicopter, police said.

I carry a bottle of whiskey under the seat of my car, so in case I ever kill a person with my car, I can be charged with DWI instead of murder 3, manslaugher, vehicular asault or homicide.

Creative! I never thought of that…

@Mike. Just carrying whiskey is not a crime. It the container is open, you can be charged with illegally transporting open alcohol. You need to drink it and not pass the DUI test to be charged with a DUI/DWI. Or, you can pour it on your clothes and refuse the test, in which case it might work. Good idea, but it might not work as intended.
