CHICAGO (STMW) — A man was shot dead early Sunday in the Southwest Side Lawndale neighborhood, police said.
The 23-year-old man — identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office as Darryl Davidson — was shot twice in the chest about 1:45 a.m. in the 1300 block of South Springfield Avenue, police said.
Davidson, of the 300 block of North Pine Avenue, was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 2:27 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
No one is in custody early Sunday and Area Central detectives are investigating.
