CHICAGO (CBS) — A gunman was behind bars Thursday morning, after police say he brazenly shot and kill a man right in front of officers.
The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday on 87th Place near Langley Avenue.
Gresham District officers say they saw the suspect shoot a 58-year-old man several times in the head. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police told the Chicago Tribune.
The 30-year-old suspect ran off, but police caught up with him.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
