CTA Polls Riders About Their Transit Use
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Chicago Transit Authority and city transportation planners are asking 'L' riders to fill out a questionnaire.
As WBBM Newsradio's Bob Roberts repots, the 31 questions in the survey ask when they travel, why they are traveling, where they began their trip, how long it takes them to reach the 'L' station, and how they got there -- walking, by bicycle, driving alone, carpooling it, being dropped off, riding a CTA or Pace bus, riding a Metra train or even taking a taxi.

"They're asking people about their commute -- their access to transit," said CTA spokeswoman Lambrini Lukidis.
The survey also asks where they are traveling, if they will ride two or more 'L' lines, how often they ride, if they are a regular rider and the rider's age, zip code and household income.
The information won't just benefit the CTA. It also could help determine where bicycle routes or new sidewalks are needed.
You can respond early and often. The survey says specifically that if you've already filled one out, "please complete it again."
