(Chicago Tribune) Dan McNeil looked the part. He appeared to have come from the practice range, not the radio booth. He showed up in matching red-and-black shirt, visor and head covers, all bearing the name of his alma mater, Ball State.
Matt Spiegel arrived in high-top gym shoes and an untucked lime green golf shirt. He actually felt weird about appearing almost conventional, saying: “It’s got a collar and everything.” He prefers playing in a T-shirt.
I felt lucky. How often do you get to tee it up with Judge Smails and Al Czervik?
