(CBS) For the first time in his career, Bulls forward Luol Deng was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team.

Deng received 20 points total - six first- and eight second-place votes in balloting from the 30 NBA coaches. Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players. Deng joined Boston Celtics Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo, Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant and New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler on the second team.

Memphis guard Tony Allen and the Clippers' Chris Paul were the first-team guards. Orlando center Dwight Howard, Oklahoma City forward Serge Ibaka and Miami Heat forward LeBron James rounded out the first team.
