CHICAGO (CBS) — President Obama is returning to Chicago this weekend to attend the wedding of the daughter of his close adviser, Valerie Jarrett.
The White House would only confirm the president and his family are returning to Chicago on Friday.
However, sources tell CBS 2 the Obamas will be attending the wedding of Laura Jarrett, who is getting married on Saturday in the backyard of the family’s home just down the street from the president’s Kenwood mansion.
After only returning to his Chicago home on an handful of occasions in the past four years, it is the second time in recent weeks that Obama has stayed at his home.
He was in Chicago for a series of fund-raisers on June 1 and spent the night.
