HAMMOND, Ind. (CBS) — A young boy drowned Friday night in Wolf Lake.

Divers recovered the body of the 8-year-old after he went under while swimming.

The boy and his family were in the water when his parents lost sight of him, authorities said.

Teams of divers found his body near a sandbar where there was a sharp dropoff to deep water. The search lasted more than an hour.
