White Sox Claim Former 4th Overall Pick Moskos
(CBS) The White Sox claimed left-handed pitcher Daniel Moskos off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates Friday and optioned him to Triple-A Charlotte.
Moskos, 26, was originally selected by Pittsburgh with the fourth overall pick in the 2007 First-Year Player Draft.
He has appeared in 14 games with Class AAA Indianapolis this season, going 1-2 with a 3.86 ERA, and was designated for assignment on June 26.
Moskos was 1-1 with a 2.96 ERA in 31 appearances with the Pirates last season.
