Boy, 16, Fatally Shot In Gage Park

CHICAGO (STMW) — A 16-year-old was fatally shot Thursday afternoon in the Southwest Side Gage Park neighborhood, police said.

The 16-year-old was shot about 2:08 p.m. in the 5800 block of South Fairfield Avenue, according to police. He was shot in the chest and was dead at the scene.

A 15-year-old boy was also shot in the leg, police said.

Area Central detectives are investigating, and police are calling it a homicide investigation.
