(WSCR) Ryan Dempster, who owns ful 10-5 rights, meaning he can vetoed a trade to any team, is in no hurry to approve any trade.

Even after reports surfaced Monday that a deal sending Dempster to the Braves was done, the veteran right-hander will take his time in approving any possible trade.

“I have a pretty good idea of where I want to go,” Dempster told the Chicago Tribune, adding that he was willing to go up until the July 31 trade deadline to decide.

Dempster also said the decision “gets harder when something that wasn’t supposed to become public knowledge becomes public knowledge.”
